30 Days Of Writing: Day 6

Where are you most comfortable writing? At what time of day? Computer or good ol’ pen and paper?

Where am I most comfortable writing? Hmmmm…Never thought about it before, but I guess at home. I’ve learned how to write under most any condition, granted I’m allowed to focus on writing without any physical interruptions. I’m good at tuning people/things out, lol.

I guess overall I’m most comfortable at home. I mean, it is my home, my sanctuary. I do like to write at night though. When everyone is sleep and there’s some random movie on cable for background noise. Pen and paper is my choice for brain storming and development, but I use the computer for organization and to do the actual work/writing.

  1. I am the same. I write mostly at night once the kids are asleep. I definitely need some sort of background noise…for some reason complete quiet doesn’t work for me when I write.

Pen and paper is my best friend for brainstorming, outlining, etc. but I too prefer writing short stories and WIP’s on the computer . Poetry, on the other hand, I find more comfortable with pen and paper.

      1. Since college, but only off and on. I’ve always liked writing short stories, though, since I was a child.

        1. Cool, is there a way to sample any of your stories?

  2. I have two shorts posted on my blogger account. Actually, one of them was a “part I” to a short, short I never finished. I really wanted to continue it, but I was so torn at the time of what direction I wanted to go with it. I regret posting it too soon. Hopefully, I can get it going it again. I also have few more poems posted as well.

This is the link to my short story page on blogger. Just click on each story title to read : http://mizzezmellymelscorner.blogspot.com/p/some-short-fiction.html
