TPD Project Journal: Finally Finished…I Think.

Finally finished editing Things People Do this past weekend…I think.

What a satisfying feeling. I don’t think I’ll need to do anymore editing. I actually wound up cutting out two scenes, minor scenes, which is why they were cut. But pretty much, everything I started with has managed to stay in scene wise.

The most of what actually got chopped was visual descriptions and character actions. Dialog got switched around a bit, to make it stronger, in my opinion. All in all it feels sold, the pace is good. Couldn’t identify any “slow” moments. Every scene and line of dialog reveals more of the story, characters, and their motives.

I’m very happy with the script right now.

Here’s what the stats are looking like (word counts):

Dialog: 10003

Action: 7174

Character: 1070

Scene Heading: 496

Other: 117

# of Characters: 15

Total Word Count: 18,860

Ending Page Count: 111

Hopefully, I won’t have to do anymore editing. I’d like to call this project done and start on getting it circulated. I’m currently trying to track down some Beta’s to give it a read over and some feed back. So, depending on what comments I get back, I’ll know what I need to do to proceed to the next phase.

If you want to give it a read, just let me know, otherwise, I’ll let you know what I hear.
