Don’t try to hide it
I can tell by your eyes
That you’ve been crying
‘Till you just couldn’t cry anymore
I now it hurts like nothing that you’ve ever felt before
The pain runs deep to your core
They say that love hurts
But that term just doesn’t seem to do it justice
I saw him coming
And I told you not to trust him
Now he’s left you wondering what went wrong
I hope that you can weather the storm
Remember, I know
What you’re going through
I’ve been there before
It’s how I felt when you walked out my door
Remember, I know
What you’re going through
I’ve been there before
Its how I felt when you walked out my door

What a beautiful, poignant and heartfelt poem. I so enjoyed the emotion it brought forth, and the memories of love that I have forgotten. It brought a bittersweet tear to my eye and a nostalgic smile to my mouth. Wonderful Jamal. Just wonderful. Thank you for sharing it with me. š
